Even though secrets should generally be kept: our Pfefferbauer restaurant in Zell am See is a true insider tip for the Salzburg region, not just because of its beautiful sun terrace overlooking the lake.

What else makes us so special? Our genuine hospitality! Because we love what we do and are hosts with heart and soul. Our down-to-earth nature helps us focus on what's essential: Austrian culinary tradition of the highest quality – preferably with products from our own farm. That's how we like it in our family-run guesthouse too.

Quality from our own production

 

To ensure that everything served in the rustic and cosy Pfefferbauer Restaurant meets our high quality standards, we choose – whenever possible – products from our own farm and from the region.

Grandma's homemade schnapps, Grandpa's juices and honey, speck, cold cuts, sausages, marmelades, spreads, a variety of cream cheeses and pestos – many of which are homemade. Our bread, compote made from our own fruit and butter (depending on the season) are also homemade. The meat comes from the region; the beef is exclusively natural beef from the boss's parents' farm. The game is primarliy hunted by the boss and Grandpa Toni. Herbs from the garden and many other regional ingredients complete our range.

And if you'd like something special, we'd be happy to serve you exclusive game dishes – please pre-order! We also welcome reservations for larger groups.
